'Listen!' group for babies and pre-school children with Down syndrome
Has your baby or pre-school child with Down syndrome also been diagnosed with any type of hearing loss?
Would you like some practical help and guidance on how you can support your child's language development?
Would you like to meet others in the same situation?
About the support group
As many as 80% of children with Down syndrome are diagnosed with hearing loss at some point in their childhood.
We provide support groups at our Hampshire Family Centre for babies and pre-school children with Down syndrome. We provide groups for children from birth-2 years and from 2-4 years of age.
The monthly sessions are friendly and supportive, providing you and your child with lots of expert advice and practical support.
At The Elizabeth Foundation, we have over 30 years of experience of supporting babies and preschool children with hearing loss to develop their listening skills, natural speech and language.
Many of our team also have extensive experience supporting children and families with multiple diagnoses.
