Julie HughesJulie Hughes - Chief Executive

Julie provides overall leadership to the organisation, including setting the overall strategic direction, external liaison and ambassadorial duties, organisational development, leading the senior management team, and liaising with the Board of Trustees.

   

Fiona Heath - Fundraising Manager Tat The Elizabeth FoundationFiona Heath - Fundraising Manager

Fiona develops our fundraising strategy, leads on corporate fundraising, plans our regular fundraising events and also provides support to friends of The Elizabeth Foundation who run their own events to raise funds..

  

John AthertonJohn Atherton - Finance Director

John has overall responsibility for financial and resource management. John works with colleagues on the senior management team to develop and deliver our strategy and plans. John also oversees the various legal/good practice compliance frameworks that are relevant to our work.

   

Karen VKaren Vaughan BEM - Trust Fundraising

Karen prepares and co-ordinates our applications to grant-making trusts and other organizations to raise funds for our charitable work and particular projects. She works with colleagues to identify projects and ongoing services, matching these to appropriate charitable funding sources and managing the process from research and initial contact through to acceptance result and follow-up reporting and monitoring.

  

Teaching and therapy staff

The members of our teaching team in Hampshire deliver our core services for deaf children and their families, including our group sessions for babies, toddlers and preschool children. They work with families to produce individual education plans for each child, and deliver these through group and one-to-one sessions.

  

Rachel MillsRachel Mills - Teacher of the Deaf

Rachel is a Teacher of the Deaf for preschool children at our family centre in Hampshire. Together with the other members of our teaching team, Rachel ensures that we monitor each child's progress and that our curricula respond to the children's needs.

  

Charlotte EmeryCharlotte Emery - Speech and Language Therapist

Charlotte is our qualified Speech and Language Therapist. Charlotte is a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

 

   

Pat DaveyPat Davey - Teacher of the Deaf

Pat uses her extensive experience and skills as a Teacher of the Deaf to provide information, support and encouragement to families who have enrolled on our Home Learning Programme. Getting to know each family and their deaf child, she brings The Elizabeth Foundation to families who cannot reach one of our family centres on a regular basis.

  

Nicki SharpleyNicki Sharpley - Nursery Leader

Nicki leads the provision of our nursery services for toddlers at The Elizabeth Foundation's family centre in Hampshire.

 

Emma JefferyEmma Jeffrey - Nursery Assistant

Emma works as a Nursery Assistant at our Hampshire Family Centre, helping our Teachers of the Deaf and Nursery Leaders provide our services for deaf children from birth to 4 years.

   

Lucy PageLucy Page - Nursery Assistant

Lucy works as a Nursery Assistant at our Hampshire Family Centre, helping our Teachers of the Deaf and Nursery Leaders provide our services for deaf children from birth to 4 years. (Lucy is currently on maternity leave).

   

Emma DavisEmma Davis - Nursery Assistant

Emma works as a Nursery Assistant at our Hampshire Family Centre, helping our Teachers of the Deaf and Nursery Leaders provide our services for deaf children from birth to 4 years.

   

Lily Blandford - Nursery Assistant

Lily works as a Nursery Assistant at our Hampshire Family Centre, helping our Teachers of the Deaf and Nursery Leaders provide our services for deaf children from birth to 4 years.

 

Support staff

  

Stephanie Green, Newborn screening admin, The Elizabeth FoundationStephanie Green- Administration and Clinics

Stephanie is part of our team of Receptionists and Clinic Administrators at our Hampshire centre, working closely with our partners Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust in the delivery of paediatric audiology clinics and newborn hearing screening.

  

Mikela CallawayMikela Callaway - Finance and Reception Coordinator

Mikela is our Finance and Reception Coordinator at our Hampshire centre, working closely with our partners Portsmouth Hospital Trust in the delivery of paediatric audiology clinics and newborn hearing screening. Mikela also provides administrative support for finance, accounting and fundraising.

  

Howard HLorna Hawkins - Fundraising Coordinator

Lorna works alongside our Fundraising Manager to support our fundraising events and volunteer fundraisers.

  

Howard HHoward Hurd - Digital Media Manager

Howard is responsible for responsible for the production and managemeent of The Elizabeth Foundation's digital media materials, including video, photographs and website.

   

Jill PayneJill Payne - Receptionist, Administration and Clinics

Jill is the main Receptionist and also provides Clinic Administration support. Jill's welcoming face (or voice on the telephone) will usually be your first point of contact with The Elizabeth Foundation in Hampshire.

  
  

Our volunteers

We are indebted to our band of volunteers, who use their special skills and commitment to help The Elizabeth Foundation give deaf children the chance to learn to listen and talk. We are grateful to all our volunteer staff for their adaptability and varied talents, and for significant practical support throughout the year at our fundraising and promotional events which often take place during weekends and evenings.

We are also grateful to our Board of Trustees - who are also all volunteers.
