How you can help us
Thank you for visiting these pages to find out how you can support The Elizabeth
Foundation's work helping young deaf children and babies learn to listen and talk.
Why we need your help
The Elizabeth Foundation is the biggest provider of pre-school education for deaf children in the UK.
We are a registered charity that receives no grant funding from the government or the NHS.
Each year we need to raise on average over £800,000 to cover our costs
- this equates to around £10,000 per child per year. We heavily subsidise the nursery fees our parents pay to one-third of the amount we need to raise - leaving an annual shortfall of £470,000! Nearly half a million pounds!
Why do our services cost this much?
We work hard to keep our “Outstanding” Ofsted rating and we aim to provide the very best service for pre-school deaf children and their families:
We do this to ensure inclusivity and give all families of deaf children the same opportunities regardless of income.
How you can help
There are a wide range of ways you can donate or support our work for deaf children.
Making a donation
Taking part in fundraising events
We organise a wide range of fundraising events each year including fayres, bazaars, race nights, balls and sponsored events including runs and swims.
Supporting us in other ways
You can also support us in many other ways: by buying our Christmas cards and notecards, through payroll giving, by joining our 100 Club or 200 Club, by hosting one of collecting tins, or by using the Everyclick internet search engine.
Leaving a legacy to The Elizabeth Foundation will
help deaf children all over the country learn to speak for themselves.
At The Elizabeth Foundation, we are always ready to work with funders who would like to help
support our work by awarding us a grant or contract.
Giving with confidence
You can give with confidence as The Elizabeth Foundation is a member of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB).
We have signed up to the FRSB's Fundraising Promise which sets out the standards that we aim for in all of our fundraising activities.
If you have got any concerns or complaints about any of our fundriasing activities, please read our Fundraising Complaints Policy and you will be very welcome to get in touch with us.
