Little Runners, Big Difference
Calling all young runners! Lace up your trainers and get ready for a fantastic day by the seaside at the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great South Run on Saturday 17 October 2026.
Taking place in Portsmouth, this brilliant event gives children and young people aged 3 to 15 the chance to experience the excitement of a major running event, soak up the incredible atmosphere and cross that all-important finish line.
There are two distances to choose from: the 1.4km Mini run for children aged 3–8 and the 2.5km Junior run for those aged 9–15. The course takes place on closed roads, with music, entertainment, enthusiastic local supporters and plenty of high-fives along the way. Every young runner also receives a T-shirt and shiny finisher’s medal to celebrate their achievement.
