This event features a fundraising tour of The Elizabeth Foundation – a preschool nursery for deaf children – followed by a light lunch and then a guided tour of the historic Whale Island in Portsmouth, home to the Royal Navy’s HMS Excellent.

The day starts with a chance to see the inside workings of The Elizabeth Foundation. See how children from the age of two weeks through to preschool are welcomed to this fantastic establishment to aid not just the children but also the families. Coffee/tea and biscuits will be served.

We then make our way to Whale Island, home to HMS Excellent, the oldest shore training establishment within the Royal Navy and the Royal Navy Command Headquarters.

You will have guided tours of:

• the Quarterdeck, heritage area
• St Barbara’s Church
• the historic drill shed and parade ground
• the State Funeral Gun Carriage

A light lunch will be served in the Wardroom.
