We are incredibly proud and honoured to have Lindsey as part of The Elizabeth Foundation family. Lindsey’s support, dedication, and kindness as a volunteer make a real difference – not only to our little learners but to the entire team – and this recognition as Volunteer of Year in the Portsmouth Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2025 is so well deserved. Lindsey is also a fabulous role model for our young deaf children.
Lindsey received her award from the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth at the award ceremony on 30 September 2025, held at the King’s Theatre in Portsmouth.
About the Volunteer of the Year Award
The Portsmouth Inspiring Volunteer Awards are organised by local volunteering organisation Hive Portsmouth. This Volunteer of the Year Award recognises a volunteer who has given their time, skills and experience to benefit the people of Portsmouth. They have shown dedication and commitment to their volunteering role, enhancing the service and inspiring others, and have done things that are above and beyond the usual role of a volunteer. The impact of their volunteering is huge on both individuals and the organisation.
