Huw Thomas
Trustee

Huw brings a wealth of knowledge and personal warmth to the charity, and we are deeply grateful for his commitment to our mission. Many local families with young deaf children may already know Huw from audiology appointments and may have experienced his kindness, expertise, and unwavering support first-hand in our Hearing Care Centre. Now, as a Trustee, his insight will further enhance the work we do to support families and deaf children through our outstanding charitable services.

Huw worked for over 33 years at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth as Head of Audiology and Hearing Services with latterly in his career also the Clinical Lead for Neurosensory Sciences with Health Education England responsible for Training and Quality standards in Neuro Sensory Science across the NHS in England and Wales.

After leaving the NHS in 2017, Huw has worked as an Operations Manager and Data Protection Officer for a local IT Software Email encryption company together with running his own Hearing Aid dispensing company and also finding time to complete a lifelong ambition of working in Paultons Park theme park – the home of Peppa Pig.
