Fundraising plays a vital role in delivering our specialist services and in maintaining our facilities. As a charity that receives no statutory or government funding, we rely on the generosity of supporters. Donations and fundraising activities help subsidise our preschool nursery fees, meaning parents contribute less than one-fifth of the actual cost of each child’s place.

The money you raise helps us provide life-changing support to deaf babies, toddlers, children and their families, including specialist teaching, early years education, and guidance for parents during a crucial stage of their child’s development.

There are lots of ways to get involved in fundraising! Take on one of our challenge events, like marathons or skydives, join a The Elizabeth Foundation-organised fundraiser such as a quiz or music bingo night, or get creative and host your own event — the possibilities are endless! 

Yes! We encourage supporters to tell our fundraising team about their events or plans. This lets us provide guidance, resources, and support — and even help promote your fundraiser. We love celebrating the amazing things our supporters achieve!

We recommend setting up an online JustGiving page — it is quick, easy and simple to share with friends, family and supporters for online donations.

For any cash donations you collect, you can get them to The Elizabeth Foundation in one of the following ways:

• Donate online through our website
• Make a bank transfer
• Send a cheque
• Drop off your donation at our family centre

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that lets charities reclaim tax on donations from UK taxpayers. For every £1 donated, we can claim an extra 25p at no extra cost to the supporter. We claim this directly from HMRC once donors confirm they are eligible.
