If you’re thinking about setting up your own fundraiser in aid of The Elizabeth Foundation, you may have a few questions about how to get started.

The money you raise helps us provide life-changing support to deaf babies, toddlers, children and their families, including specialist teaching, early years education, and guidance for parents during a crucial stage of their child’s development.
Begin by choosing the type of fundraiser you want to run — for example, a sponsored challenge, event, bake sale, or online appeal. Once you have your idea, set a date, pick a location (if relevant), and outline what you’ll need. If you need any ideas or inspiration, why not download our fundraising pack!
Whilst you don’t need our formal permission, we’d love to know about your fundraiser so we can support you and offer advice, branding materials, and so on. Some fundraising activities do require approval from the local council authority or landholder (e.g., raffles, street collections, events in public areas).
Yes! Our fundraising team is here to help and can offer guidance, encouragement, and materials to support your fundraising activity.

To set up a fundraising page, we recommend going to our JustGiving page then click on ‘Start fundraising’, and follow the steps to personalise your page with photos, a fundraising target, and a short story about why you’re supporting us. If you need any help just get in touch.
When you have set up your online fundraising page on social media, send emails or messages to friends and family, and ask local community groups to spread the word. Posting updates, photos, or progress milestones helps keep supporters engaged. We can also help by sharing details on our social media – just send us the details.
