The Elizabeth Foundation Impact Report 2023-24

The Elizabeth Foundation has published its latest Impact Report 2023-24 to celebrate and showcase the effect of its work on the lives of young deaf children and their families.

2023-24: Aiming for the best possible outcomes for deaf children and their families

In 1981, our Founders firmly believed that early diagnosis and good technology, paired with early intervention, would lead to the best possible outcomes for deaf children and their families. And this still holds true today, over forty years later.

Services at The Elizabeth Foundation have lasting impact for the families enrolled on the programme. We are in a very privileged position of being able to witness the life-long impact of our work through contact and relationships with our many alumni.

“I have such fond memories of my time at The Elizabeth Foundation, a place that played such a pivotal role in my life. It was more than just a preschool – it was where I learned to overcome challenges and find my voice in the world. For that, I will always be grateful.” A quote from actor Taha Rahim, recently in ITV drama DI Ray and graduate of The Elizabeth Foundation, 1998

It is exciting to know that deafness is not a barrier and we are helping each child to lay the foundation skills they need to take them on the next leg of their journey, whatever that may be.

Our supporters are an integral part of that journey. It is their support that allows us to help so many families across the UK through developing language and listening skills and becoming powerful advocates.

The Impact Report 2023-24 covers our activities during the school year from August 2023 to July 2024. It highlights our activities over the last academic year and the difference we have made to the children and families we support. It has information about our recent service developments and the difference they make to the families we support.

We are very proud of what we have accomplished during 2023-24 and we hope you will enjoy reading about the varied and exciting elements of our work.

We would welcome any feedback you have about our Impact Report – please send it to [email protected] (with ‘Impact Report’ as the subject line so that we can prioritise your feedback).
