    Corporate case studies

We have been privileged to work with a wide range of companies of all sizes over the years. Here are just a few examples of some successful partnerships.

    Micro Scooters

We are delighted to have received a donation of scooter accessories from Micro Scooters. Renowned for revolutionising the school run with their iconic 3-wheel scooters, Micro make getting from A-B quicker, cleaner, greener, healthier, and more fun.

    Victorious

We were selected by Victorious as one of the charities to benefit from this unique seafront music festival held in Portsmouth each year.

One of the biggest events to be held in Portsmouth each year, Victorious attracts crowds of 120,000-plus people when it takes place on Southsea Common  over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Support from the Victorious Festival not only raises much-needed funds but also increases awareness of the charity and ‘Let’s Listen and Talk’, our unique online resource which is available to all parents of deaf children, wherever they live.

As part of the partnership - which started in 2018 - Victorious played a short promotional film featuring deaf children from The Elizabeth Foundation on the big screens at the two main stages between acts.

    Specsavers

We have been selected as the Charity of the Year for two years by employees at Specsavers' UK head office located in Hampshire. Our fundraising team have already been involved with events at the offices, including a fun superheroes-themed staff day. You can watch the video at the top of this page to hear more about this successful partnership.

“At Specsavers we firmly believe in supporting our local communities. It's great for staff morale and team work to be fundraising for The Elizabeth Foundation because we can see the difference the funds from our efforts make to deaf babies and preschool children.”

    Glanvilles

Glanvilles is a full services law firm offering legal services to individuals and businesses, with offices on the south coast in Chichester, Fareham and Havant:

“After seeing first-hand the amazing work that The Elizabeth Foundation does for deaf children, it was no contest when our firm chose our new local charity of the year. We have felt a sense of how far the charity has come since they opened and we wanted to be able to offer support to them moving forward so that they could assist more children.

“During the past year we have tried to increase awareness of the charity by including them in our various networking events that we have been involved in. A group of our colleagues put on their running shoes to take part in the Great South Run and we also hosted our annual charity quiz.

“Everyone at Glanvilles LLP has found it rewarding to raise awareness and funds for the children and families. We appreciate that at some point everyone will be touched by the work the Foundation does.”

    Sainsbury’s

We worked together with our local Sainsbury's Superstore in Farlington on a wide range of activities including bucket collections and even a sponsored charity 'jail-break':

“We are about to embark on the 2nd year that the colleagues and customers at Farlington Sainsbury’s have chosen The Elizabeth Foundation as our sponsored charity.

“This shows that it’s not just our colleagues but also our customers who are inspired by the work the Foundation does. It is heart-warming to see the difference the team at The Elizabeth Foundation make to the deaf children and their families at this wonderful charity.”

    Global

During 2016-17, The Elizabeth Foundation worked alongside our friends at Global - the leading media and entertainment company that is the home of Heart, Capital, Classic FM and Radio X - on their Make Some Noise fundraising campaign. Each year, Global’s Make Some Noise chooses a group of charities to benefit from its wide range of fundraising and awareness activities - and we were lucky enough to be selected for the current campaign.

We had so much fun hosting visits from many of Global's top radio presenters and getting to know the team at Make Some Noise. We have also received some expert help and advice from their marketing team on raising our profile as a relatively small charity.

There were some amazing fundraising efforts by the team at Global - including their breakfast show presenters skydiving from a plane - alongside a range of star-studded events involving many famous faces from the world of entertainment.

    Portsmouth Property Association

Portsmouth Property Association selected The Elizabeth Foundation as their Charity of the Year for 2017/18.

Events included a quiz night, a regional update and a fantastic annual dinner featuring guest speaker former World Champion snooker player Steve Davis OBE. The annual black tie dinner raised over £5,000 through a raffle and auction with prizes generously donated by local businesses and raised awareness of The Elizabeth Foundation in our local community.

During their year support The Elizabeth Foundation, the PPA broke the record for the amount raised and presented a cheque for over £11,000 to the charity at their AGM.

Chairmen Tom Holloway (who in 2019 became one of the charity's trustees) commented at the end of the 2017/18 partnership:

"As an association, we achieved a lot, including raising thousands of pounds for The Elizabeth Foundation and showing how the PPA is an active part of the community."

    Keys Trips and Events

Keys Trips and Events is a Hampshire-based travel company that has been supporting The Elizabeth Foundation with fundraising and awareness-raising for many years:

“We support The Elizabeth Foundation as we feel it is an extremely worthwhile organisation to help.

“The work that is carried out there for the children from the earliest start possible is second to none, and we’ve seen it first hand for ourselves.

“We feel it is important to spread the word about the work that is being carried out.”
