Speech and language therapy services
The Elizabeth Foundation offers specialist speech and language therapy services for deaf children up to 16 years old. These services are provided by a therapist who has specialised in running speech and language services for children with hearing impairment.
We offer both initial speech and language assessments and regular therapy sessions, provided at our Hampshire Family Centre.
Speech and language assessment
An initial speech and language assessment session will determine the nature of your child’s needs and the areas which need to be worked on.
The assessment will take around one hour and will cover:
- social communication skills
A comprehensive assessment report will be provided after the initial assessment.
Speech and language therapy sessions
Speech and language therapy sessions will be designed to focus on the needs of your child.

Parents will be given tasks to carry out at home and email liaison will take place after each session.
Sessions will last for one hour including parental discussion.
- The cost of an initial assessment session with report is £125.
- The cost of a one hour therapy session is £60.
